Anushka Sharma joins Wholesome Foods as an investor and brand ambassador.
Anushka Sharma, the actress, has invested an undisclosed sum in millet-based startup Wholesome Foods, making her the company’s investor and brand ambassador. Sharma will also advocate for Wholesome Foods’ flagship brand, Slurrp Farm, as well as all future brands that the company plans to launch as it strives to become a brand house.
Anushka Sharma is an actress, businesswoman, and mother in addition to her film roles. She is now adding a new one: strategic partner at Wholesome Foods.

Anushka Sharma has spent her entire life advocating for healthy, conscious choices. Slurp Farm, a brand that uses the power of millets to provide healthy, tasty, and natural snack and mealtime options for young children and their parents, was launched in 2016 by Wholesome Foods. When co-founders Meghana Narayan and Shauravi Malik became mothers, they realized there was a lack of high-quality and nutritious food options for young children.

Wholesome Foods currently has a revenue run rate of INR 55 crore and aspires to have a revenue run rate of INR 150 crore by March 2023. Anushka Sharma’s investment follows a $7 million funding round led by the Investment Corporation of Dubai, the government of Dubai’s sovereign wealth fund, and Indian multi-stage venture fund Fireside Ventures.
