Over time, Internet Explorer has deteriorated into a default browser that is used to install other browsers.
“The future of Internet Explorer on Windows 10 belongs in Microsoft Edge,” stated Sean Lyndersay, program manager for Microsoft Edge, according to Mashable.
“Not only is Microsoft Edge a faster, more secure, and more modern browsing experience than Internet Explorer,” Lyndersay continues, “but it also solves a critical concern: compatibility for older, legacy websites and apps.”

“Internet Explorer mode (‘IE mode’) is integrated into Microsoft Edge, allowing you to access older Internet Explorer-based websites and applications straight from Microsoft Edge,” stated the program manager for Microsoft Edge.
“With Microsoft Edge capable of performing these and other functions, the Internet Explorer 11 desktop program will be retired and phased out of support for certain versions of Windows 10 on June 15, 2022.”
