The famous and much sought-after, Museum of the Future will open to the world and its people on February 22, 2022, according to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, who took to social media to share some eye-grabbing images of this upcoming place.

Sheikh Mohammed described it as the “most magnificent edifice on Earth” and also stated that 2022 would be an amazing year for the UAE! The structure, which is located on Sheikh Zayed Road, has been vouched to be one of the 14 most beautiful museums in the world by National Geographic in 2021, and also it is known in the world for its insightful and detailed architecture along with its sophisticated technological innovations.

The seven floors long, the pillar-less tower stands 77 meters tall and covers 30,000 square meters. The 17,000-square-meter stainless-steel façade is lighted with 14,000 meters of Arabic calligraphy designed by Emirati artist Mattar Bin Lahej.

Interestingly, the museum is also connected by two bridges— the first one is 69 meters long and connects to the Jumeirah Emirates Towers, while the second one is 212 meters long and connects it to the Emirates Towers metro station.

Sheikh Mohammad’s remarks can be found in the Arabic calligraphy that graces the façade. “We may not live for hundreds of years, but the products of our creativity can leave a legacy long after we are gone,” says one saying, while another says, “The future belongs to those who can imagine, plan, and execute it… The future does not have to wait… it can be designed and built right now.”

These words have added to the eloquence of the place and marked its true essence. Along with the beautiful architecture, these calligraphies have also aroused a lot of excitement in the hearts of people!

“The Museum of the Future is a life-changing event that will enable visitors to look at their world through a fresh lens and push them to adopt innovative ways of thinking,” Sheikh Mohammad said. “It will feature real-life examples of a brighter, more hopeful future.” It aspires to be a center of tolerance and inclusion, as well as to promote pro-human values.”

Dubai has also been hosting the World Government Summit each year, where eminent global government leaders gather and discuss grave matters concerning the world. Amongst the various discussions happening during the meet, futuristic technologies tend to be the key themes. The Museum of the Future is also made to carry the significance of these profound discussions around Futurism and record our advancement towards the future.

With these themes and ideas made visible to the visitors, it is a great step for global inclusion and widespread of the culture. A new structure and inventive area have also been developed to further disrupt the domain.

The hype around the opening is evident for the world to see. It will certainly be exciting to witness what this Museum of the Future has in store for us!
