Reports suggest that on February 7, the UAE’s daily Covid-19 cases fell to their lowest level this year, with 1,704 infections. For the first time in weeks, the number of recoveries (1,992) exceeded the number of infections.

 

Monday’s total of 1,704 illnesses was the second time in three days that the daily case count fell below 2,000. On February 5, the country had 1,991 cases recorded. Additionally, On December 29 of last year, daily infections surpassed 2,000 for the first time. Days earlier, on December 6, the country had successfully reduced the number of daily cases to less than 50.

In mid-January 2022, it surpassed the 3,100-point level before settling slightly over the 2,000-point threshold.

A strong vaccination campaign has seen 100% of eligible UAE citizens receive at least one shot, and over 95% have been fully vaccinated, according to Monday’s record drop in the number of cases.
