Krishi Network has enlisted film actor Pankaj Tripathi as a brand ambassador to help promote their agritech platform to farmers. The actor has also put money into the company. The new funding will be used to develop the start-AI-based up’s technology platform across India and help it grow quickly, according to the company.

Krishi Network, an agritech platform, has announced the addition of Pankaj Tripathi as an investor and brand ambassador. The partnership with the actor highlights the startup’s efforts to reach out to the general public and connect with farmers on a local level. Pankaj’s experience as a farmer aligns with the startup’s goal of assisting farmers in increasing earnings by delivering immediate answers to their concerns so they can make key farm decisions.

“As someone who grew up on a farm, I’ve always believed in supporting projects that provide farmers with the knowledge to assist them in building their businesses.” Genuine and accurate information was always a worry for me while I was a farmer, and seeing how Krishi Network is assisting farmers is admirable,” Pankaj Tripathi remarked.

Krishi Network, founded by Ashish Mishra and Siddhant Bhomia, IIT Kharagpur alumnus, takes use of the expanding rural internet penetration to establish a platform that makes information more accessible to farmers and allows them to make more money from their land. The company also has agri brands, agri-input merchants, and other stakeholders in the agriculture supply chain on board, providing a mix of online and offline support. The Krishi Network app is presently accessible in Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi, and English, with more languages on the way.

“Farmers are true entrepreneurs who run a complicated business.” Krishi Network is a machine powered by a dedicated community of farmers. One of the angel investors, Sanjiv Rangrass (Group Head – R&D, Sustainability at ITC), remarked, “This instantly convinced me that the team at Krishi Network lead by Ashish & Siddhant will revolutionize the landscape for farmers.”

The company presently has a network of 30 lakh farmers and plans to expand it further. The company also provides ’15-minute answers’ to questions about any agricultural service, which is made possible by their platform’s 8000+ experts. Due to the possibility to engage with farmers, Krishi Network has received strong organic support from stakeholders. It also benefits the entire agri-ecosystem by providing farmers with frictionless two-way communication.

Agri brands, agri-input merchants, and other stakeholders in the agriculture supply chain have also joined the platform.

Its app is available in Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi, and English at the moment.

“Krishi Network was founded with the goal of transforming Indian agriculture by empowering farmers to embrace change with confidence. We’re broadening their horizons by linking them with professionals and other agribusinesses outside of their immediate area, “Krishi Network’s Founder, Ashish Mishra, commented.
