Dr. Durga Prakash Devarakonda had begun my journey in a small village in southern Andhra Pradesh. He attended government schools and received his M.I.T. from the Manipal Academy of Higher Education.

His major career opportunity began in 1996 when he was hired as the Managing Principal Consultant at Capgemini Invent. In the year 2000, he even joined Oracle as a Senior Consultant, where he played one of the most important roles, including everything from executing the business plan to growing the team to 300 people with a revenue of more than $350 million USD.

Further, he also worked for a number of multinational corporations. He was also a Vice President at Accenture. After three years, he got associated with Tech Mahindra, a global leader in artificial intelligence, analytics, and cyber security, in 2013. He also worked as the Chief Executive Officer of Karvy Analytics, India’s largest financial services firm. After much hard work and determination, he is now currently employed by Legato Health Technologies as a Staff Vice President- Technology. He also serves on the board of the Global Cyber Security Forum.

In terms of academic credentials, Dr. Durga Prakash holds a Doctorate and a Master’s degree in Information Technology. He has over 25 years of experience in software and global delivery operations, including both software development and support businesses. He is primarily inclined toward Advanced Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning. Dr. Durga also led large India-based offshore delivery teams for global software, data, and support functional business units.

Dr. Durga’s ideas on teamwork are very insightful. Working closely with teams, he believes, is critical to success. Different team members have different skills; for example, some may be good at problem-solving while others excel in technical and functional departments. However, simply having talents may not be sufficient to propel the team forward. There is also a strong emphasis on accountability, as he shares.

Dr. Durga has had an exciting journey, but it has also been difficult. Throughout their tenure, he came across many new professionals. He was also involved in the development of patent-pending frameworks in “Autonomous Health Systems and Personal Health Assistants.” He has been a frequent speaker and contributor at global A.I. conferences such as A.I. He was recently featured in Forbes India Tycoons of Tomorrow as a Visionary for establishing and scaling India-based Global Capability centers for Fortune 100 companies. He was also named one of India’s Global Achievers of 2021, as recognized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Culture, and the Government of India.

Aside from that, Dr. Durga was inducted into the Guinness Book of World Records in 2018 for organizing the world’s largest digital event, in which 100,000 people gathered on the video conferencing app “Zoom” to pray.

“Be very clear from the start, build confidence, invest in yourself, and build the culture of learning so that your earnings are already taken care of,” Dr. Durga advises the youth of today.

Dr. Durga Prakash received accolades from Bill Gates in 1998 for becoming the youngest Indian to complete all possible Microsoft certifications. It appears that he was always destined to treasure success in his life.

Dr. Durga has also previously contributed to several leadership development programs within large corporations such as Gemini, Oracle, and Accenture. For the past two decades, he has been an active participant in various C.S.R. initiatives in the corporate world.

His company is a Global Capability Centre of Technology, addressing the health of 110 million people worldwide. Dr. DP has spent the last 25 years contributing to India’s I.T. & ITES industry, creating over 20,000 jobs in collaboration with several M.N.C.s and NASSCOM/ HYSEA.
